Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during complex procedures including restorative, surgical, and orthodontic treatments
- Perform chairside duties including instrument transfer, suction management, and four-handed dentistry
- Manage sterilization protocols and infection control procedures following OSHA/CDC guidelines
- Take and develop diagnostic dental radiographs (X-rays) and intraoral images
- Prepare treatment rooms, equipment, and materials for efficient patient workflows
- Educate patients on post-procedure care and oral hygiene techniques
- Maintain accurate digital patient records and treatment documentation
Qualifications
- Active California Dental Assistant license or RDA certification
- Minimum 2 years clinical experience in general dentistry
- CDA certification or DANB preferred
- Proficiency with Eaglesoft/Dentrix practice management software
- CPR/BLS certification and current infection control training
- Excellent communication skills and compassionate patient demeanor
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Strong knowledge of dental materials and instruments
