Responsibilities
- Assist pharmacists in preparing and dispensing prescription medications accurately.
- Verify patient information and insurance details to ensure compliance with legal and safety standards.
- Provide exceptional customer service by answering questions regarding medications and providing health-related advice.
- Manage inventory levels, including receiving deliveries, stocking shelves, and managing expired medications.
- Operate pharmacy management software systems for billing and record maintenance.
- Handle cash transactions and process insurance claims efficiently.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Qualifications
- Certification as a Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) or eligibility to obtain certification.
- Current, valid Pharmacy Technician license in the state of California.
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Strong knowledge of pharmacy operations, medications, and dosage forms.
- Excellent attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
- Ability to stand for long periods and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
