Responsibilities
- Perform venipuncture and capillary blood draws with precision and patient comfort
- Process, label, and transport specimens according to HIPAA protocols
- Maintain accurate patient records using EMR systems
- Adhere to OSHA safety standards and infection control procedures
- Collaborate with nursing staff to ensure seamless patient flow
- Train on-site personnel on phlebotomy best practices
Qualifications
- Current ASCP or AMT Phlebotomy Technician certification
- 1+ years of clinical phlebotomy experience
- Valid Illinois phlebotomy license
- CPR/BLS certification (current)
- Proficiency with blood collection equipment
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work flexible shifts including weekends
