Responsibilities
- Perform accurate venipuncture and capillary blood collections following strict protocols
- Process and label specimens ensuring HIPAA compliance
- Verify patient identification and maintain detailed medical records
- Calibrate and maintain phlebotomy equipment
- Provide patient education during blood draw procedures
- Collaborate with healthcare team for optimal patient flow
Qualifications
- Current Phlebotomy Technician certification (ASCP, NCCT, or equivalent)
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience in phlebotomy
- Strong knowledge of venipuncture techniques and safety standards
- CPR/BLS certification required
- Ability to work efficiently in fast-paced environments
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
