Responsibilities
- Perform venipuncture and capillary blood collections following strict safety protocols
- Process and label specimens accurately for laboratory analysis
- Maintain patient records and electronic health documentation systems
- Ensure proper specimen handling, storage, and transportation procedures
- Provide exceptional patient care during blood draw procedures
- Calibrate and maintain phlebotomy equipment
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to optimize patient experience
Qualifications
- Current Phlebotomy Technician certification (ASCP, NHA, or equivalent)
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience in venipuncture
- CPR/BLS certification required
- Ability to work flexible hours including weekends
- Strong attention to detail and documentation accuracy
- Nebraska state phlebotomy license (or ability to obtain immediately)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
