Responsibilities
- Perform accurate venipuncture and capillary blood draws for diverse patient populations
- Process and label specimens according to strict laboratory protocols
- Maintain sterile equipment and infection control standards
- Verify patient identification and prepare samples for testing
- Document procedures accurately in electronic health records (EHR)
- Provide exceptional patient care during high-volume testing scenarios
Qualifications
- Current California Phlebotomy Technician certification (CPT or PBT)
- Minimum 1 year recent clinical experience in a fast-paced environment
- BLS/CPR certification required
- Proficiency in EHR systems and specimen processing software
- Exceptional venipuncture skills with minimal callbacks
- Ability to work flexible hours including early mornings and weekends
