Responsibilities
- Perform venipuncture, capillary punctures, and blood draws for diagnostic testing
- Process and label specimens accurately with strict adherence to HIPAA protocols
- Maintain sterile equipment and ensure infection control standards are met
- Provide patient education and comfort during procedures
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure efficient patient flow
- Document procedures and specimen handling in electronic health records
Qualifications
- Current Phlebotomy Technician certification (ASCP, NHA, or equivalent)
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience in phlebotomy
- Valid CPR certification
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in specimen handling
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Must pass background check and drug screening
