Responsibilities
- Deliver patient-centered care in acute care settings including ICU, ER, and Med-Surg units
- Administer medications, perform wound care, and monitor vital signs per physician orders
- Document patient assessments and progress in electronic health records (EHR) systems
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement care plans
- Ensure compliance with JCAHO standards and hospital protocols
- Provide patient and family education on treatment plans and discharge instructions
- Maintain sterile environments and infection control protocols
Qualifications
- Active RN license in Illinois (IL RN license required)
- BSN or Associate's Degree in Nursing from accredited institution
- Minimum 2 years of recent acute care experience
- BLS and ACLS certifications (required)
- Proficiency in EHR systems (EPIC, Cerner, or Meditech preferred)
- Strong critical thinking and clinical judgment skills
- Ability to work 12-hour shifts with flexible scheduling
- Pass background check and drug screening
