Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive telephone triage assessments for patients presenting with acute and chronic medical symptoms.
- Apply clinical decision-making protocols to recommend appropriate home care, emergency services, or physician referral.
- Document all patient interactions accurately and securely in the electronic medical record (EMR).
- Collaborate with physicians and nurse practitioners to ensure continuity of care.
- Provide patient education and emotional support during high-stress situations.
- Monitor patient outcomes and follow up on pending cases to ensure resolution.
Qualifications
- Current and valid RN license in the State of Ohio.
- BSN preferred; Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) accepted with significant experience.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of recent experience in triage, telehealth, or urgent care.
- Strong proficiency with EMR systems (Epic, Cerner, etc.).
- Excellent verbal communication skills and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
- Valid Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
