Responsibilities
- Conduct rapid patient assessments to determine medical urgency and prioritize care
- Provide expert clinical guidance to patients and families via phone and telehealth platforms
- Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary teams to develop effective care plans
- Maintain accurate electronic health records (EHR) documentation in compliance with HIPAA
- Monitor patient conditions and escalate critical cases to appropriate providers
- Educate patients on symptoms, home care, and when to seek emergency care
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and protocol development
Qualifications
- Active RN license in Kentucky with minimum 2 years clinical experience
- BLS/ACLS certification and current BLS instructor preferred
- Proven expertise in triage protocols and emergency assessment skills
- Exceptional communication and critical thinking abilities
- Experience with EHR systems (Epic, Cerner, or similar)
- Ability to work independently and make sound decisions under pressure
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
- Commitment to patient-centered care and cultural sensitivity
