Responsibilities
- Assess patient symptoms via telehealth and in-person triage to determine urgency and care priority
- Collaborate with physicians and clinical staff to develop patient care plans
- Document patient encounters accurately in EMR systems following HIPAA guidelines
- Provide education to patients regarding treatment protocols and home care instructions
- Manage patient flow and coordinate with ancillary departments for seamless care delivery
- Respond to medical emergencies with rapid intervention and stabilization techniques
- Maintain inventory of medical supplies and equipment for triage stations
Qualifications
- Active RN license in Wisconsin (or compact state)
- Minimum 2 years triage or emergency nursing experience
- BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Proficient in telehealth platforms and EMR documentation
- Exceptional critical thinking and decision-making abilities
- Strong communication skills with diverse patient populations
- Ability to work efficiently in high-pressure environments
- Experience with Epic or similar healthcare IT systems preferred
