Responsibilities
- Conduct rapid patient assessments in emergency department triage area
- Prioritize cases using Emergency Severity Index (ESI) protocols
- Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary care teams
- Document patient encounters accurately in EMR systems
- Provide patient education on treatment plans and discharge instructions
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA and hospital safety protocols
- Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- Active California RN license (required)
- Minimum 2 years emergency department or critical care experience
- BLS, ACLS, and TNCC certifications (current)
- Strong assessment skills with ability to make rapid decisions
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Proficiency in Epic EMR or similar systems
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
