Responsibilities
- Assess patient symptoms and prioritize medical urgency via telephone and telehealth platforms
- Provide clinical guidance and education to patients regarding appropriate care pathways
- Collaborate with physicians and healthcare teams to ensure timely patient disposition
- Document patient encounters accurately in EHR systems while maintaining HIPAA compliance
- Manage high-volume call centers during peak hours with exceptional efficiency
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and protocol development
Qualifications
- Active RN license in North Carolina with minimum 2 years clinical experience
- BLS certification and current ACLS preferred
- Proven expertise in telephone triage protocols and emergency assessment
- Exceptional communication skills with ability to de-escalate anxious patients
- Proficiency in Epic or similar EHR platforms
- Ability to work flexible shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) strongly preferred
