Responsibilities
- Lead horizon scanning for emerging technologies, social shifts, and market disruptions impacting 2026+ landscapes
- Develop scenario-based strategic roadmaps for product innovation and business model transformation
- Partner with R&D teams to integrate future-facing technologies into core offerings
- Present trend analyses and strategic recommendations to executive stakeholders quarterly
- Build and maintain a global network of futurists, academics, and industry pioneers
- Author thought leadership publications on long-term competitive advantage
- Guide cross-functional teams in adopting anticipatory innovation frameworks
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Futures Studies, Strategic Foresight, or related field (PhD preferred)
- 5+ years in strategic planning, innovation consulting, or trend analysis
- Proven track record of translating foresight into commercial strategies
- Expertise in scenario planning, Delphi methods, and trend impact analysis
- Deep understanding of exponential technologies (AI, quantum computing, biotech)
- Exceptional storytelling skills with executive-level presentation experience
- Certification in Strategic Foresight (e.g., CFM, APF) or equivalent
- Portfolio demonstrating 3+ successful future-shaping initiatives
