As our Quantum Computing Research Lead, you'll lead cross-functional teams developing fault-tolerant quantum systems while mentoring the next generation of quantum engineers. Responsibilities
- Lead quantum algorithm development for 2026-era NISQ devices and fault-tolerant systems
- Manage $5M+ R&D budget for quantum hardware prototyping and testing
- Collaborate with Intel and IBM on quantum-classical hybrid computing architectures
- Present quarterly breakthroughs at IEEE Quantum Week and Davos Tech Summit
- Publish 3+ high-impact papers annually in Nature/Science journals
- Mentor 5+ quantum engineers through our patent accelerator program
- Develop commercialization pathways for quantum cryptography solutions
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field (postdoc preferred)
- 8+ years quantum computing research with 3+ peer-reviewed Nature papers
- Expertise in Qiskit, Cirq, or quantum error correction frameworks
- Proven track record leading quantum hardware-software co-design projects
- Experience securing DoE/NSF grants >$2M for quantum research
- Deep understanding of quantum supremacy benchmarks and fault-tolerant thresholds
- Proficiency in cryogenic systems and superconducting qubit manipulation
