Responsibilities
- Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Prepare nutritious meals and assist with feeding as necessary.
- Provide medication reminders and ensure compliance with prescribed medication schedules.
- Offer companionship and emotional support to clients to reduce feelings of isolation.
- Monitor client health and report any changes, accidents, or concerns to the nursing supervisor immediately.
- Perform light housekeeping and laundry duties specific to the client's care plan.
- Accompany clients to medical appointments and errands as needed.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required.
- CPR and First Aid certification preferred but willing to train the right candidate.
- Valid Driver’s License and reliable personal transportation.
- Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
- Compassionate, patient, and respectful demeanor towards elderly individuals.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
