At Dallas Comfort Care Services, we provide exceptional home health care to our community. As a Caregiver, you will build meaningful relationships with clients while providing essential support in the comfort of their own homes.
Responsibilities
- Personal Care: Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Medication Management: Remind clients to take their medications on time and report any changes in condition to the nursing supervisor.
- Meal Preparation: Prepare nutritious and appetizing meals based on dietary restrictions and preferences.
- Companionship: Engage clients in conversation, games, and hobbies to promote mental well-being and reduce isolation.
- Household Support: Light housekeeping duties such as laundry, vacuuming, and changing linens as assigned.
- Transportation: Accompany clients to medical appointments, grocery shopping, or social outings.
- Crisis Response: Respond promptly to emergencies and follow safety protocols.
Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum 1 year of experience in caregiving, home health, or CNA/HHA roles preferred.
- License: Valid CNA or HHA certification is a plus but not always required for entry-level compassionate candidates.
- Valid Driver’s License: Must have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Background Check: Must pass a criminal background check and drug screening.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
- Empathy: Genuine compassion and patience for working with the elderly or disabled.
