About the Role:
As a Caregiver, you will provide personal care and companionship to clients in their homes. Your daily tasks will vary but will always revolve around improving the quality of life for those in your care.
Responsibilities
- Personal Care: Assist clients with bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting as needed.
- Medication Management: Remind clients to take prescribed medications and report any changes in health to supervisors.
- Meal Preparation: Plan and prepare nutritious meals according to dietary restrictions.
- Companionship: Engage clients in conversation, hobbies, and light activities to promote mental well-being.
- Household Support: Light housekeeping duties such as laundry, cleaning, and errands.
- Transportation: Drive clients to medical appointments or social events.
Qualifications
- Certification: Current Texas CNA or HHA certification is preferred.
- Licensure: Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
- Background Check: Must pass a comprehensive background check.
- Experience: Previous experience in home health or caregiving is a plus but not required.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Physical Ability: Ability to lift and assist patients (up to 50 lbs) and stand for long periods.
