Responsibilities
- Assist with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Provide safe and dignified assistance with mobility and transfers (wheelchairs, walkers, etc.).
- Prepare nutritious meals and assist with feeding if necessary.
- Monitor client health status and report any changes or concerns to the nursing team.
- Accompany clients to medical appointments, social events, and community outings.
- Perform light housekeeping and laundry duties to maintain a safe living environment.
- Offer emotional support and companionship to reduce feelings of isolation.
- Administer medication reminders according to physician orders.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED preferred (CNA/PCA certification is a plus).
- Valid California Driverβs License and reliable personal transportation.
- CPR and Basic First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
- Strong verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated patience, empathy, and a genuine desire to help others.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends, evenings, and holidays.
- Physical ability to lift, bend, and stand for extended periods.
