Responsibilities
- Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Provide companionship and engage clients in meaningful conversation and activities.
- Prepare nutritious meals and assist with meal planning based on dietary restrictions.
- Manage medication reminders and ensure medication compliance under supervision.
- Perform light housekeeping and laundry duties to maintain a safe and clean living environment.
- Accompany clients to medical appointments and social outings as needed.
- Monitor clients' physical and emotional well-being and report any changes to the nursing staff.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED is preferred.
- Valid Driver's License and reliable transportation are required.
- Previous experience in home care or long-term care is a plus but not mandatory.
- CPR and First Aid certification is highly desirable.
- Strong communication skills and a patient, empathetic demeanor.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
