Responsibilities
- Personal Care: Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility assistance.
- Medication Management: Provide medication reminders and assist with daily medication schedules as directed by the RN or physician.
- Companionship: Offer emotional support, engage in conversation, and participate in recreational activities with clients to enhance their quality of life.
- Household Support: Assist with light housekeeping, laundry, meal preparation, and running errands to ensure a safe and clean living environment.
- Transportation: Drive clients to medical appointments, social events, and community outings using a reliable vehicle.
- Communication: Maintain accurate daily logs and communicate any changes in the client's condition or needs to the office staff and family members promptly.
Qualifications
- Experience: Prior experience in home care, personal care assistance, nursing, or the healthcare industry is preferred but not always required.
- Certifications: Current CPR and First Aid certification is required.
- License: Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record are mandatory.
- Background Check: Ability to pass a criminal background check and drug screen.
- Skills: Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a genuine, caring demeanor.
- Reliability: Must be punctual, trustworthy, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
