Your Role:
As a Surgical Technician, you will play a crucial role in ensuring patient safety and surgical success. You will work closely with surgeons, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to deliver exceptional care in a fast-paced operating room setting.
Responsibilities
- Prepare operating rooms and instruments for surgical procedures, ensuring all equipment is sterilized and functional.
- Assist surgeons during operations by passing instruments and maintaining a sterile field.
- Anticipate the needs of the surgical team to ensure efficient workflow and patient safety.
- Monitor patient vital signs and report any changes to the nursing staff immediately.
- Properly handle and dispose of biological waste and surgical specimens.
- Collaborate with the sterile processing department to maintain inventory levels of supplies.
- Document patient data and surgical procedures accurately in medical records.
Qualifications
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) certification required.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in a hospital or surgical center setting.
- Strong knowledge of aseptic technique and surgical anatomy.
- Excellent physical stamina to stand for extended periods and ability to lift equipment.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a high-stress team environment.
