Responsibilities
- Personal Care: Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Companionship: Provide friendly and engaging companionship to reduce loneliness and improve mental well-being.
- Meal Assistance: Prepare nutritious meals and assist clients with eating when necessary.
- Medication Reminders: Prompt clients to take prescribed medications at the scheduled times.
- Household Support: Light housekeeping duties such as laundry, cleaning, and running errands to ensure a safe living environment.
- Transportation: Accompany clients to medical appointments, social activities, or on community outings.
- Vital Signs: Monitor and report changes in health status, weight, or mood to the nursing supervisor.
Qualifications
- Valid Driver's License: Must be reliable and willing to use personal vehicle for client transportation.
- CPR/First Aid Certification: Current certification preferred but not required (training available).
- Background Check: Must pass a criminal background check and drug screen.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Empathy: A genuine passion for helping others and a patient, compassionate demeanor.
- Reliability: Ability to maintain a consistent work schedule and adhere to care plans.
- High School Diploma: or equivalent GED.
