Responsibilities
- Personal Care Assistance: Assist clients with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting, ensuring dignity and comfort at all times.
- Medication Monitoring: Promptly remind clients to take medications as prescribed and immediately report any missed doses or adverse reactions to the nursing supervisor.
- Companionship & Engagement: Foster emotional well-being by engaging clients in meaningful conversations, hobbies, and social activities to reduce isolation.
- Light Housekeeping: Maintain a safe, clean, and sanitary living environment by performing light cleaning, laundry, and meal preparation according to dietary needs.
- Vital Signs: Accurately monitor and record vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, and temperature as directed by the registered nurse.
- Transportation Support: Accompany clients to medical appointments, therapy sessions, or social outings, ensuring safe and timely travel.
Qualifications
- Certification: Valid Home Health Aide (HHA) or Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license is required.
- Education: High school diploma or GED is preferred.
- Experience: Previous experience in home health, caregiving, or geriatric care is highly desirable.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a patient and empathetic demeanor.
- Physical Ability: Must be physically capable of lifting, transferring, and assisting patients; ability to stand for extended periods.
- Driving: Valid driverβs license and access to a reliable vehicle are required for home visits.
- Reliability: Must pass a background check and drug screening.
