Responsibilities
- Perform venipuncture and capillary blood collection procedures following OSHA and CLIA standards
- Process and label specimens with 100% accuracy
- Maintain sterile environments and proper equipment calibration
- Provide patient education on pre-test preparations
- Document collection data in electronic health records
- Collaborate with lab personnel for sample transport
- Assist with inventory management of supplies
Qualifications
- Current Phlebotomy Technician certification (ASCP, AMT, or NHA)
- Minimum 6 months clinical experience
- BLS/CPR certification required
- Proficiency in venipuncture techniques for diverse patient populations
- Strong attention to detail and documentation skills
- Ability to work independently in fast-paced settings
- Nebraska phlebotomy license (or ability to obtain within 30 days)
