Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during complex procedures including restorative, endodontic, and surgical treatments
- Manage digital radiography and intraoral imaging systems with precision
- Sterilize equipment and maintain OSHA-compliant infection control protocols
- Prepare treatment rooms and ensure optimal instrument tray setups
- Administer local anesthesia and nitrous oxide oxide monitoring when certified
- Manage patient scheduling and recall systems efficiently
- Train new dental assistants on clinic workflows and protocols
Qualifications
- Current Tennessee Dental Assistant certification or DANB certification required
- Minimum 2 years clinical experience in general dentistry
- Current CPR/BLS certification
- Proficiency in Eaglesoft or DentalWorks practice management software
- Strong knowledge of dental terminology and instrumentation
- Exceptional interpersonal skills for patient education and comfort
- Ability to multitask in fast-paced clinical environments
- Spanish fluency preferred
