Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during procedures including exams, fillings, and extractions
- Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize instruments following OSHA protocols
- Take and develop dental X-rays with digital imaging systems
- Manage patient scheduling and maintain accurate digital records
- Provide patient education on oral hygiene and post-treatment care
- Order inventory and ensure the clinic is fully stocked
- Assist with front desk duties including check-in/out and insurance verification
Qualifications
- Certified Dental Assistant (CDA) or Michigan Dental Assistant License
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience in a dental practice
- Proficiency in digital X-ray systems (Dexis/Sirona preferred)
- Strong knowledge of sterilization and infection control protocols
- Excellent communication skills with diverse patient populations
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Current CPR/BLS certification
- High school diploma or equivalent required
