Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for examinations, take vital signs, and document medical histories
- Assist physicians during clinical procedures including EKGs, injections, and wound care
- Manage electronic health records (EHR) systems with precision and HIPAA compliance
- Coordinate patient flow and ensure efficient clinic operations
- Administer medications and perform phlebotomy procedures
- Provide patient education on treatment plans and preventive care
- Maintain sterile exam environments and inventory of medical supplies
Qualifications
- Active California Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) certification required
- Minimum 2 years' experience in outpatient clinical setting
- Proficiency in EHR systems (Epic or Athenahealth preferred)
- BLS/CPR certification from AHA or Red Cross
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask in fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities
- Spanish language proficiency a plus
