Responsibilities
- Provide basic patient care, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting assistance.
- Monitor and record vital signs, such as blood pressure, pulse, and temperature, as directed by the nursing staff.
- Assist patients with mobility issues, including transferring them from bed to wheelchair or using walkers.
- Prepare and serve meals according to dietary restrictions and preferences.
- Communicate effectively with patients and their families to provide emotional support and answer questions.
- Assist with light housekeeping tasks in the patient's room to ensure a clean and safe environment.
- Report any changes in a patient's condition or behavior to the Charge Nurse immediately.
Qualifications
- Current, active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license in the state of Florida.
- CPR/BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to interact compassionately with patients.
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs as needed.
- Reliable transportation and willingness to pass a background check and drug screen.
- Previous experience in a hospital, nursing home, or home health setting is preferred but not required.
