Responsibilities
- Perform patient intake procedures, including measuring vital signs and updating medical histories.
- Assist healthcare providers during examinations by preparing instruments and maintaining patient comfort.
- Prepare treatment rooms for patient visits by ensuring equipment is sanitized and functional.
- Perform basic laboratory tests and phlebotomy duties under supervision.
- Manage administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments, verifying insurance, and maintaining electronic health records (EHR).
- Ensure strict adherence to HIPAA regulations and patient confidentiality standards.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED is required; a degree in Medical Assisting is a plus but not mandatory.
- Excellent communication skills and a professional, compassionate demeanor.
- Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment with a positive attitude.
- Basic computer literacy and typing skills.
- Reliable transportation and willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
