Responsibilities
- Provide basic nursing care to patients in a home health or facility setting, ensuring their comfort and safety.
- Monitor and record vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse, and report any abnormalities to the RN or supervisor.
- Assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Prepare and serve meals according to dietary restrictions and patient needs.
- Assist with mobility, including transferring patients to and from beds or wheelchairs.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized environment for patients.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the healthcare team.
Qualifications
- Active and current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license in Massachusetts.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Previous experience in a healthcare setting is preferred but not required for top candidates.
- Strong communication skills and a compassionate demeanor.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Reliable transportation.
