Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care, including bathing, dressing, and grooming assistance.
- Monitor and record vital signs, such as blood pressure, pulse, and temperature.
- Assist patients with mobility and transfers using proper body mechanics.
- Administer medications and document patient records accurately.
- Respond to patient calls and requests for assistance promptly.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized patient environment.
- Collaborate with RNs and LPNs to ensure comprehensive patient care plans are followed.
Qualifications
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license in the state of Virginia required.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Previous experience in a long-term care or acute care setting is preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Compassionate attitude and a desire to help others.
- Reliable transportation to and from the workplace.
