Responsibilities
- Monitor patient health and progress by performing regular physical exams and detailed medical histories.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians and follow strict medical protocols.
- Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary healthcare teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
- Provide direct patient care, including wound care, IV therapy, and emergency response.
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records and documentation in electronic health records (EHR).
- Educate patients and their families on post-treatment home care and preventive health measures.
- Respond to medical emergencies and critical situations with quick, decisive action.
Qualifications
- Current and valid Registered Nurse (RN) license issued by the State of California.
- Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in a hospital setting (preferred).
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) is preferred; Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) accepted.
- Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) required.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact effectively with patients, families, and staff.
- Proficiency in electronic medical record systems (EMR/EHR).
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative healthcare team.
