Responsibilities
- Assess patient health problems and needs, developing and implementing comprehensive nursing care plans.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians, strictly adhering to safety protocols.
- Monitor patients' vital signs and clinical condition to detect any changes that require immediate attention.
- Collaborate effectively with physicians, therapists, and the interdisciplinary healthcare team.
- Document patient care activities, including assessments, interventions, and outcomes, in electronic health records (EHR).
- Educate patients and their families on disease prevention, wellness, and self-care management.
- Provide direct bedside care and emotional support to patients during critical moments.
Qualifications
- Current and valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of New York.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred; Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) accepted with relevant experience.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications required.
- Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and time management skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Compassionate demeanor with a commitment to patient-centered care.
- Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in a hospital setting is highly desirable.
