Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care, including bathing, dressing, and grooming assistance.
- Monitor vital signs and report any significant changes in a patient's condition to the charge nurse immediately.
- Assist patients with mobility, transfers, and positioning using proper body mechanics.
- Document patient care activities, including intake and output, accurately and timely.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and therapeutic environment for all residents and patients.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary healthcare team.
- Administer medications and treatments as directed by the nurse in charge.
Qualifications
- Current and valid California State CNA license.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and CPR certification.
- Previous experience in a long-term care or hospital setting preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
- Compassionate, patient, and detail-oriented work ethic.
- Reliable transportation and ability to pass a background check.
