Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care, including assistance with bathing, dressing, and feeding.
- Monitor and record patient vital signs, such as blood pressure, pulse, and temperature, reporting any abnormalities.
- Assist registered nurses and physicians with medical procedures and patient transfers using proper body mechanics.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary environment for patients and staff at all times.
- Respond promptly to patient call lights and emergency situations.
- Document patient care activities and changes in patient condition accurately in medical records.
- Offer emotional support and communication to patients and their families.
Qualifications
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license currently valid in the state of Florida.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
- Previous experience in a hospital, acute care, or long-term care setting is preferred.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced team environment.
- Ability to lift, push, and pull patients weighing up to 250 lbs safely.
