Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care, including bathing, dressing, and feeding assistance as needed.
- Monitor and record vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, and pulse, accurately and timely.
- Assist nurses with medical procedures and prepare patient rooms for admissions and surgeries.
- Transport patients to and from treatment areas, operating rooms, and diagnostic labs using proper body mechanics.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitized environment for patients and staff at all times.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the healthcare team regarding patient conditions and needs.
Qualifications
- Current, unencumbered State Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license.
- CPR/BLS Certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) or Red Cross.
- Previous experience in a hospital or acute care setting is preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a focus on patient empathy.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs safely.
- Flexibility to work varying shifts, including nights and weekends.
