Responsibilities
- Provide basic nursing care to patients, including bathing, dressing, and grooming, under the supervision of nursing staff.
- Monitor and record vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, and temperature accurately.
- Assist patients with mobility, including transferring them to and from beds, wheelchairs, and stretcher beds.
- Prepare and serve meals according to dietary restrictions and patient needs.
- Communicate patient status and changes in condition to Registered Nurses (RNs) and Physicians immediately.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary environment for patients and staff.
- Offer emotional support and companionship to patients and their families during their stay.
Qualifications
- Current and valid California State CNA License.
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- CPR and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification must be maintained.
- Previous experience in a hospital or long-term care setting preferred but not required.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced team environment.
- Physical stamina to stand for long periods and assist patients with mobility.
- Compassionate demeanor with a genuine desire to help others.
