Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care, including bathing, dressing, and grooming assistance.
- Monitor and record vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse, accurately and timely.
- Assist with mobility, transfers, and the use of walkers or wheelchairs.
- Prepare and serve meals according to dietary restrictions and preferences.
- Communicate patient status changes and concerns to the Registered Nurse (RN) or Charge Nurse immediately.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized patient environment.
- Document patient care activities in electronic health records (EHR) as required.
Qualifications
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license required, valid in the state of Nebraska.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association.
- Previous experience in a long-term care or hospital setting preferred but not mandatory for immediate hires.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a patient-centered approach.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
- Compassionate demeanor with a high attention to detail.
