Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care, including assisting with bathing, dressing, and personal hygiene.
- Monitor and record vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse.
- Assist licensed nurses with medical procedures and prepare patients for examinations.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized patient environment.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the healthcare team regarding patient status and needs.
- Document patient care accurately and in a timely manner.
Qualifications
- Current and valid Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license issued by the District of Columbia.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Previous experience in a hospital, nursing home, or home health setting is preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift patients as required.
- Reliable transportation and availability for varying shift schedules.
