Responsibilities

  • Monitor Patient Health: Observe residents closely for changes in condition and report any abnormalities to the Registered Nurse (RN) immediately.
  • Assist with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs): Provide compassionate assistance with bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting as needed.
  • Administer Medications: Accurately document and distribute medication according to physician orders and facility protocols.
  • Ensure Safety: Implement fall prevention strategies and maintain a safe, hazard-free environment for all residents.
  • Communication: Serve as a primary communicator between residents, families, and the clinical staff team.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate and timely records of patient care and vital signs in the electronic health record system.

Qualifications

  • Certification: Current and valid State of Texas Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license.
  • Experience: Minimum of 1 year of experience in a long-term care or hospital setting preferred.
  • Training: Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) preferred.
  • Availability: Must be available to work rotating night shifts (7:00 PM - 7:00 AM).
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
