Responsibilities
- Assist patients with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Monitor and record vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration rates.
- Provide emotional support and companionship to patients and their families.
- Transport patients to and from treatment areas, surgical suites, or other hospital departments using wheelchairs or stretchers.
- Document patient care information accurately and in a timely manner.
- Report changes in patient condition to nursing staff or physicians immediately.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary environment for patients.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Completion of an accredited Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) training program (New Grads Welcome).
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to stand, walk, and lift up to 50 lbs frequently.
- Compassionate demeanor with a strong desire to help others.
