Responsibilities
- Provide basic bedside care to residents, including bathing, dressing, and grooming assistance.
- Monitor and record vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, and temperature accurately.
- Assist with mobility issues, including transferring patients to and from beds or wheelchairs safely.
- Prepare and serve meals, ensuring dietary restrictions are respected.
- Communicate changes in patient behavior or physical condition to the nursing staff immediately.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitized environment for patients and staff.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Certification as a Nursing Assistant (CNA) or enrollment in a state-approved CNA training program with completion date.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
- Demonstrated compassion and patience in a healthcare setting.
