Responsibilities
- Personal Care: Assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Vital Monitoring: Accurately measure and record vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, and temperature.
- Medication Assistance: Support patients with medication reminders and administration as directed by the RN/LPN.
- Companionship: Provide emotional support and engage patients in meaningful conversation and activities.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient care logs and incident reports.
Qualifications
- Certification: Current, active Maryland CNA license required.
- CPR Certification: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is mandatory.
- Education: High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Experience: Previous experience in home health or long-term care is preferred but not always required.
- Character: Compassionate, patient, and reliable with a strong work ethic.
