Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality personal care to residents, assisting with bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting as needed.
- Monitor and record vital signs, including blood pressure, pulse, respiration, and temperature.
- Assist patients with mobility, transferring them safely from beds to wheelchairs or walkers.
- Prepare and serve meals according to dietary restrictions and nutritional needs.
- Document patient care activities and changes in condition accurately in electronic health records (EHR).
- Communicate effectively with nurses, physicians, and family members regarding patient care plans.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitized environment for patients and staff.
Qualifications
- Current, active, and unencumbered California CNA license.
- CPR and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Previous experience in a long-term care or acute care setting is preferred but not mandatory.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to read and write in English.
- Physical stamina to stand for long periods and assist with lifting patients.
- Must pass a background check and drug screening.
