Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care, including assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Monitor and record vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration rates.
- Assist with mobility, transfers, and the use of walkers or wheelchairs to ensure patient safety and comfort.
- Communicate changes in patient conditions or behavior to the nursing staff and physicians promptly.
- Prepare and serve meals according to specific dietary restrictions and nutritional needs.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary environment for patients at all times.
- Document patient care activities and daily progress accurately in electronic health records (EHR).
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Current CNA certification or willingness to obtain certification within 90 days.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Basic computer literacy for electronic documentation.
- CPR and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification preferred.
- Ability to lift and move patients weighing up to 250 lbs safely.
- Must pass a background check and drug screening.
