Responsibilities

  • Assist patients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
  • Monitor and record vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration rates.
  • Provide basic wound care and assist with range-of-motion exercises as directed by nursing staff.
  • Communicate changes in patient condition or behavior to the Charge Nurse immediately.
  • Turn, reposition, and move patients safely to prevent bedsores and ensure comfort.
  • Prepare and serve meals, ensuring dietary restrictions and preferences are respected.
  • Document patient care activities accurately and timely in electronic medical records (EMR).

Qualifications

  • Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license or state certification required.
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is highly preferred.
  • Strong compassion and patience when interacting with elderly or vulnerable patients.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and lift patients as needed.
  • Must pass a background check and drug screening.
