Responsibilities
- Patient Assistance: Provide direct care to patients, including assistance with bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Vital Signs: Monitor and record patient vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse, reporting any abnormalities to the charge nurse.
- Mobility Support: Safely assist patients with transfers, walking, and ambulation using proper body mechanics and equipment.
- Hygiene & Safety: Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitized patient environment to prevent infection and ensure patient comfort.
- Communication: Effectively communicate patient needs, changes in condition, and concerns to the nursing team and physicians.
- Documentation: Accurately complete and maintain patient care records and logs in accordance with facility policies.
- Meal Support: Serve meals and assist patients with eating, ensuring dietary restrictions are respected.
Qualifications
- Certification: Current, active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license or certification in the State of Missouri.
- Education: High School Diploma or GED required.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand, walk, and lift up to 50 lbs for extended periods as required by the job duties.
- Compassion: Genuine empathy and patience when working with the elderly, disabled, or recovering patients.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Reliability: Demonstrated dependability and punctuality.
- Background Check: Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
