Responsibilities
- Patient Care: Provide direct personal care to patients, including assistance with bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility.
- Vital Signs: Accurately monitor and record patient vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration rates.
- Hygiene & Comfort: Ensure patients remain clean, comfortable, and well-groomed in accordance with care plans.
- Communication: Act as the primary liaison between patients, families, and nursing staff to provide updates on patient status.
- Assistance: Assist patients with transfers to and from beds, wheelchairs, and other equipment safely.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate, up-to-date medical records and logs in electronic health systems.
- Environment: Maintain a clean, sanitized, and safe environment for residents and staff.
Qualifications
- Licensure: Current, active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license in the state of Georgia.
- Education: High School Diploma or GED required.
- Experience: Minimum of 1 year of experience in a healthcare or long-term care setting preferred.
- Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is mandatory.
- Skills: Strong knowledge of infection control, patient hygiene, and vital sign measurement.
- Attributes: Compassionate, patient-focused, and able to work effectively in a fast-paced team environment.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
