Responsibilities
- Provide basic patient care including bathing, dressing, and grooming assistance.
- Take and record vital signs (temperature, blood pressure, pulse, and respiration) as directed by nursing staff.
- Assist patients with mobility issues using walkers, wheelchairs, or other assistive devices.
- Monitor patient conditions and report any changes or emergencies to the Registered Nurse (RN) immediately.
- Feed and hydrate patients according to dietary plans.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized patient environment.
- Document patient care activities and interactions accurately in electronic health records (EHR).
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification or completion of an accredited CNA training program.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification preferred (or willingness to obtain).
- Strong compassion, empathy, and patience when interacting with patients.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to follow instructions.
- Physical ability to stand for long periods and assist with patient transfers.
